Refund Policy


GABRIELLE HANSON-SMITH TERMS AND CONDITIONS-PORTRAITS/ARTWORKS



 
  1. 7 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE  - A 7 day money back guarantee is provided from the date the clients place an order with me.  Refunds will be made by the same method the client paid with.


2)   CANCELLATIONS - Clients may cancel their order by contacting  contacting Gabrielle Hanson-Smith by email or telephone as soon as possible after placement of the order but before Gabrielle Hanson-Smith has undertaken any time or travel to meet and photograph the portrait subjects. At this time clients will have paid a deposit or the full amount for the commission or artwork.  In this instance an administration  fee of £150.00 will be charged.
If Gabrielle Hanson-Smith has undertaken any time or travel to photograph and meet the portrait subjects no refund will be given.


3)  DEPOSITS - A deposit of 50% is to be paid at the time of commission, by BACS, Bank Transfer or cheque.  The deposit will secure completion of the portrait at that price for a period of 12 months as long as all information and meetings are completed with in the 12 month period. . If however information or meetings are not completed during this 12 month period the portrait will be purchased at the current price list which may be more than at the original  time of commission.


4)    PAYMENTS -  Payment must be paid in full two weeks prior to work commencing.   An Invoice will be sent by email or post to the client requesting payment four weeks before work commences. Payment must then be made with in 14 days, by BACS, Bank Transfer or cheque.


5)  Changes required to finished portrait -  On completion of the portrait the client will be sent a good quality photograph. If any changes are needed at this stage please contact Gabrielle Hanson-Smith to discuss this.  Work will be done to the portraits within reason until the clients are  100% happy.   If however the client is unhappy with the artwork, they can opt to have a 50% refund of the fully framed portrait price, and refund of carriage charges. 


6)  On receiving the portrait or artwork the client has 14 days to contact Gabrielle Hanson-Smith about any changes required.  If the portrait or artwork needs to be returned for any changes the client must meet the costs of shipping the portrait or artwork back to the studio in the original packaging.  If the client is still not happy with the portrait or artwork after any changes, the client will be refunded 50% of the total cost paid and the original artwork will remain in possession of Gabrielle Hanson-Smith for disposal.


7)  EMAIL GIFT VOUCHERS -  Gift vouchers are non-refundable and are valid for 1 year.  When redeeming gift vouchers clients wishing to add to their vouchers (ie add another pet portrait) will be purchasing this at the current price.


8)  DELIVERY- Where ever possible it is advised that the client picks up the portrait, or Gabrielle Hanson-Smith may be able to  deliver the portrait subject to the current travel charges and availability.  
Otherwise portraits and artworks will be packaged to a very high standard. If the item is damaged in transit, please take photographs of the packaging and artwork and email Gabrielle Hanson-Smith immediately.  The artwork must then be returned to Gabrielle Hanson-Smith at the clients cost.  A replacement portrait will be created at no additional coast.  please note lead time will depend on current commissions list.
Damaged artworks, (ie hen paintings/paintings) will be replaced with a similar work or the price of the work refunded at discretion of Gabrielle Hanson-Smith.


9)  Copyright is retained on all portraits and artwork.  Gabrielle Hanson-Smith reserves the right to use her paintings and portraits on Gabrielle Hanson-Smith Artist web site, and for any promotional material.
Customer emails in whole or in part may also be used as testimonials on the website.  If clients do not wish the artworks or emails to be displayed on the website please make this known in an email at the time of commission.
