Most of my portraits of children are painted in oils, although I am very happy to work in pastels. The process of commissioning a protrait is very straightforward.  I will arrange a day to come and meet your child in a place where they feel comfortable and at ease, so most often in the home enviroment.  The visit usually lasts about two  to three hours and during this time I will take photographs so I  can then work on the portrait in my studio.   I prefer to frame my portraits, so that the frame complements the painting. I am very happy to discuss this at the time of commission.  The portrait is then finsihed and ready to hang on your wall.
